Louis “Lou” Scheimer (October 19, 1928 – October 17, 2013) was an American producer, one of the original founders of Filmation, an animation company, and also credited as an executive producer of many of its cartoons. In addition to his producing and voice acting he also worked as a director and is known for collaborating on the 1963 television series Rod Rocket and the 1963 television short His Mother Marveled.
He graduated from Carnegie Tech University with a bachelors degree in Fine Arts. He first began his work producing with the 1966 series The New Adventures of Superman. He would go on to provide voices, musical scores, and continue producing for a variety of series including He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Bravestarr.
